About verb CAN
Can is a modal verb. It is used with the base form of the verb - You use can to indicate that someone has the ability or opportunity to do something or if someone is allowed to do something. The form cannot is for negative statements the common spoken form of cannot is can’t and you use cannot to indicate that someone is not able to do something.
Sentences - e. g.
I can swim – You talk about something you are able to do it / I can’t swim – To talk about what you aren’t able to do it.
You can go to school – someone allowed you to do something.
You can’t go to the party – someone doesn’t allow you to do it something.
